Honoring Harry
For about 15 years, Harry—affectionately known as Chap Cat—was more than just a campus feline. He was a friend, a study buddy, and a source of comfort for countless Roadrunners who crossed his path at Chaparral Village. Whether he was sunbathing near the dorms, accepting treats and head scratches, or sneaking into student rooms for a nap, Harry had a way of making campus feel like home.
Now, as we come to terms with his absence, we want to honor his memory in a meaningful way—by supporting the students he loved so much. We’re raising funds to create a scholarship in his name, helping future Roadrunners who call UTSA home.
If Harry ever brightened your day, gave you a moment of peace during finals, or simply made UTSA feel like home, we invite you to contribute. Every gift—big or small—helps us celebrate the impact of this extraordinary campus companion by supporting the students he watched over for so many years.
Let’s give Chap Cat the tribute he deserves. Give today and help us keep Harry’s spirit alive at UTSA.
