About Us
The UTSA Spirit Program is comprised of students with a love and passion for UTSA and our athletic teams. The program consists of two competitive teams and our beloved Mascot, Rowdy The Roadrunner. Both teams, Large Co-ed and All-Girl, as well as Rowdy, are all considered “Family.” Spirit Team members support numerous athletic programs throughout the year. They attend various athletic, academic, community and social functions. The program supports all home football, volleyball, and men’s and women’s basketball games as well as select travel games and tournaments and hundreds of community events. Whether in your freshman orientation, on the turf, court, or mat, the Spirit Program plays an integral role in developing spirit, pride and tradition at UTSA.
Over the years, the program has re-focused on university spirit and support, building skills, increasing crowd involvement, building and maintaining traditions, taking pride in their image, unifying their look, and fundraising to support their program needs. The program has implemented multiple new chants, cheers and sideline material.
In addition to their athletic accomplishments, the program has been consistent for years in earning a team accumulative GPA above a 3.0, networks with generations of UTSA Cheer alumni and offers in-state tuition waivers and scholarship opportunities for those who qualify.

UTSA Cheer has a history of S-U-C-C-E-S-S.
This past season, we raised funds to attend NCA College Nationals and placed top five in the nation after one year off from competition. Being nationally ranked helped our program expand our brand and image to showcase UTSA Spirit on the nationals stage. This included coverage on national TV. We want to continue this legacy by bringing both teams to compete on a national stage against the best of the best Division 1A FBS schools. We believe to be the best, you must compete against the best. This year's competition will take place in Daytona Beach, Florida in April.

The Impact
National competition puts UTSA on stage with other top spirit programs in the nation. Being a consistent top five spirit program in the nation, our program is nationally televised on CBS sports.
This exposure helps our image and our potential to recruit future Roadrunners. We offer a strong game day atmosphere playing football in the Alamodome with travel opportunities. We offer our students Adidas gear, strength and conditioning coaches, athletic training, academic support, locker room access, summer camp attendance, tumbling instruction, in-state tuition waivers, scholarship and national competition. UTSA is one the only NCA competitive Division 1A school in our region.

You will receive a social media shout-out from UTSA Cheer.
You will receive a waived registration fee to any UTSA cheer camps or clinics.
You will receive a signed UTSA thank you note by Rowdy and Cheerleaders.
You will receive a t-shirt and two tickets to a UTSA home game.
You will receive a team photo signed by Rowdy and be invited to a behind-the-scenes opportunity with UTSA Cheerleaders.
Donors at this level can schedule a visit from cheerleaders and/or Rowdy to an approved event (birthday party, anniversary, etc.) within 30 miles.
