We are the Society of Automotive Engineering Formula Team at UTSA. We are fortunate to be one of 69 teams invited to compete at this year’s international competition in Lincoln, Nebraska on June 19-22 with teams from Mexico, Canada, Brazil, India and across the US. For this competition, students are tasked with designing various systems of a race car (chassis and suspension geometries, wheel hub development, brakes, driver ergonomics, powertrain and drivetrain systems, intake and exhaust system, and aerodynamics) with the assistance of computer aid drawing environments such as Solidworks. From these 2D and 3D files, students will manufacture these systems to a functioning race car with in-house production or contract outside facilities for assistance.
Will you help us get our dreams from the screen to the race track with a gift today? Your donation will help cover the costs of raw materials, part building services and travel expenses for competition.
