Continue the Roadrunner Battalion Legacy

The Project

UTSA Army ROTC’s prestige is founded in fostering community involvement, physical excellence and academic distinction. Many of the events and activities that cadets participate in, such as our Military Ball or the Army 10 Miler, are not funded by the Army and cost the program, as well as the cadets, money. Imagine if students were able to participate in many of the events that have garnered UTSA Army ROTC notoriety and esteem without having to worry about the funding. Your contributions will improve the programs growing visibility and allow cadets to continue building the UTSA Roadrunner Battalion legacy for years to come.

Who We Are

Founded in May 1982, The University of Texas at San Antonio Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) is an educational program, which combines college electives in Military Science with practical and unmatched leadership training. Our military science courses are designed to prepare men and women for succeeding in college, becoming Army officers, and developing in their chosen career.  Recognized as one of the top ROTC commissioning schools in the state of Texas, The University of Texas at San Antonio Roadrunner Battalion creates high quality officers every year who join the ranks of elite alumni that have come before them. This training is invaluable for any career that involves leading, managing and motivating people to foster teamwork.

The Impact

The cadets at The University of Texas at San Antonio Army ROTC give so much of their time and effort to bring notoriety and visibility to our program and UTSA. Cadets regularly participate or compete in national and local competitions, active community involvement, exemplary scholastic achievements and military appreciation. We strive to push our cadets both physically and mentally, encouraging them to contribute in a variety of extra-curricular activities to include Community Service, Color Guard, Ranger Challenge, Army Ten Miler, GI Jane Run Team, Intramural Sports, and a host of other activities throughout the year to keep cadets well rounded and active in our community.

What Your Gifts Will Do

As we continue to grow in both numbers and recognition, we need your support to make sure the cadets are able to excel and achieve without worrying about having to raise funds for operational costs such as the military ball, competition uniforms, team supplies and community events. Support our cadets as they work to increase UTSA and Army ROTC’s distinction.
