Childcare for the Downtown Campus
Update: Thank you to everyone who gave to help us reach our initial goal! All additional funding lowers the out-of-pocket cost for student-parents. Please help us hit 110% with a donation today!
The organization Students Raising Children was founded with the purpose of establishing a childcare center for the UTSA Downtown campus to provide student-parents with low-cost quality childcare in order to allow student-parents the chance to attend class without the worry of childcare.
On January 5, 2018, the Lil' Roadrunners Enrichment Program hosted its grand opening. Partnering with La Trinidad Church, located just a few blocks from the Downtown Campus, Lil' Roadrunners will be available Monday-Friday from 4:30-9:30 p.m. for all UTSA student-parents and employees. This will be more than childcare; it is a support system made up of other students, faculty, staff, and organizations in San Antonio to help student-parents earn their degree.
Will you give today to help lower the cost of care for student-parents at UTSA?
Your support today will offset the cost of childcare for UTSA student-parents working hard to earn their degree.
Students Raising Children has already received a generous donation from UTSA Social Work alumni, but it will not cover the entire cost of the program. Every $20 raised covers one child's stay for an evening in the program.
Thank you for supporting student-parents at UTSA. The Lil' Roadrunners Enrichment Program has been a dream for students in our organization for more than three years, and your gift is supporting the dreams of student-parents at UTSA. Thank you!
