Create a Collaborative Study Environment in the BSE

The Project

The Biotechnology, Sciences and Engineering (BSE) building atrium is a “home away from home” where students in sciences and engineering need to take time to focus on their studies. With all the space available, however, we currently don’t have adequate resources to work on projects and collaborate. Tables and chairs are sparse and even when pulled together don’t provide a lot of space due to their round shape.

We need your help to make a change—money raised from this project will be used to invest in new chairs and square tables that are sturdier and will provide a long lasting collaborative work space for College of Sciences and College of Engineering students. 

What Your Gifts Will Do

Your gifts will be used to purchase new tables and chairs that will create a collaborative study environment for students who use the BSE atrium to study.  We’re excited to be among the first few groups of students to participate in crowdfunding at UTSA. When we meet our goal we know it will show that students can make a difference on campus.

Adding new chairs and tables to the atrium will give students and faculty more options as far as where to study or hold meetings. It will make the BSE more attractive to the student body. Your gift—no matter the amount—will go toward making a big impact on our everyday lives. For every $1000 raised we will be able to add another set of tables and chairs.
