First and foremost, thank you to everyone who made a contribution to our Spaceport America Cup competition fundraiser! The donations have been very heart-warming and, in many ways, exceeded the expectations we had for this campaign. We could not have gotten this fundraiser to the level it is without each and every one of you contributing so thoughtfully. 

We want to update all of you on the status of the competition itself. Recently, the competition organizers decided this year’s competition will now be happening virtually. Participating teams will not be gathering in New Mexico in June for the in-person portion of the competition. As disappointing as this was to learn, our team still fully intends to move forward with our entry by continuing to provide all the necessary design updates, documentation and reports required of us by the competition. We plan to see the construction of our launch vehicle through to completion and organize a launch of our vehicle at a regional facility closer to home. 

What this means for our fundraising campaign is: every single one of you has allowed us to fully meet our updated fundraising goal! THANK YOU!

The additional funds will be used for next year’s build and competition entry. 

Once again, we’d like to thank everyone for everything they’ve done so far to make our campaign as successful as it has been. We are humbled by everyone’s generosity and enthusiasm.
