Who We Are
ClayFusion is a group for ceramic students and clay enthusiasts at UTSA. We offer resources to emergin artists including group firings, mass-making sessions, and ware presentations at events such as the UTSA Bi-Annual Clay Sale. Every fall, ClayFusion works with the San Antonio Community to raise money at events like Eagle Ford’s Chili Cook Off, Southwest School of Art’s Clay Make-a-Thon, and Empty Bowls.
You can send ClayFusion to a national conference that attracts renowned ceramicists, sculptors and artist from across the globe. Roadrunners will attend artist demonstrations, workshops and lectures over the course of 4 days. Help UTSA artists learn from some of the top ceramic artists in the world. The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) conference is in Portland, Oregon from March 22-25, 2017.
The conference is an unparalelled learning opportunity that will motivate students and push the limits of their ceramic art when they return to UTSA. This experience will inspire students' ceramic talents and improve their art with newfound techniques and skills.
Gifts at any level will provide conference admission cost, hotel accommodation and transportation to and from the conference. Every donation goes directly to our conference fund, ensuring that your generous support aids our students to attend this incredible event!
