Our Crowdfunding Groups
Our Launch UTSA project will help us in our mission to provide adequate equipment for all of our members. Since our budget on equipment was cut at the beginning of this year, it has been difficult for us to buy all the things we need. This year we want to send a Saber team to compete at tournaments. Your support will help us send every sword type to compete in tournaments this year.
We are the Fencing Club at UTSA, part of UTSA's Club Sports. We have been around since 2004 and we welcome fencers of all skill levels since we are committed to providing a place for them to practice and learn the sport.
With the money we fundraise through the project, we hope to expand our reach on campus. Many people do not realize that UTSA has a fencing club, and, if we adequately get the word out about our project, more people would learn about us. Also, we will be more active in the UTSA community by participating in more events such as Best Fest and Fiesta that require a fee to enter.
The gifts we receive from the project will help the club buy more equipment, such as lames, blades, gloves, and body cords. Specifically, we are hoping to send a Saber team to tournaments this year, and the money would help us equip them to participate. The club also participates in many tournaments all throughout Texas, and the money could help us with the travel expenses, such as gas and room and board.
