On behalf of the UTSA Global Brigades Student chapter we want to thank all the generous friends and supporters of our project! We leave to Namanji, Nicaragua in less than 20 days and we are becoming more excited as we continue to prepare for the trip.
Our brigade will provide medications that would cost the community over $7,550, all of which will be prescribed by licensed physicians free of charge. Local children will be invited to an educational workshop which includes a fluoride treatment and we will give them their own dental care kit to take home.
Without your support and generosity, we would not be able to provide these much needed services to the community members of Namanji. $50 helps us provide anti-parasitic medication to 125 patients who are suffering from illness caused by unsafe drinking water. When you make a gift at this level, we will send you a thank you note.
$75 provides resources for us treat 40 patients with high blood pressure. When you make a gift at this level, we will send you a thank you note and thank you on our Instagram account @UTSA_Brigades
$100 helps us treat and 30 patients with skin infections or scabies. When you make a gift at this level we will send you a post card from Nicaragua!
$250 allows us purchase 150 toothbrushes and 175 tubes of toothpaste to give away during the trip. When you make a gift at this level, we will send you a post card from our trip!
A gift at this level helps us purchase 8 needed blood pressure kits, 5 glucometers, and 25 Ace bandages. When you make a gift at this level, we will send you a small souvenir from Nicaragua!
