Who We Are

We are ALPFA, The Association of Latino Professionals For America. We are a business-oriented student organization that forms strong bonds between our members and uses those bonds to build a professional network. We are accepting of any major but are comprised mainly of accounting and finance majors.

Our values are simple at their core:

• Creating strong links between members.
• One member’s opportunities open doors for others, so that we all move forward as a group.
• We are very close knit and often refer to fellow members as our ALPFAmilia.
• We always have each other to lean on for support and advice. 

Our Project

Our goal is to send UTSA students to the ALPFA National Convention in Las Vegas. At the ALPFA National Convention, UTSA students will meet with and learn from fellow business professionals. By attending the convention, we will show large firms and recruiters that UTSA is a university to look out for and to reach out to. This is also an opportunity to help individual students advance in their career paths. 

We are opening doors for current UTSA students and Roadrunners to come. In the professional world, questions like “where are you from,” or “what school did you go to,” are often one of the first things you hear. The more students we have saying “Texas” and “UTSA” will start to show larger firms from around the country to look at our university when they are looking for new employees and interns. We are giving students the opportunity to be in positions where they can boost the reputation of UTSA to new heights. 

What Your Donations Do

Your gift allows us to pay the registration fees for the national convention, rent hotel rooms for our members and help offset the costs of travel to the convention. Every bit helps, and we will make every cent go a long way.
